Familia y escuela: contextos interrelacionados en la educación en valores.

Abstract

La transmisión de valores en la escuela y en la familia es uno de los elementos más importantes en la sociedad actual. La adquisición de valores en las edades tempranas es fundamental para el pleno desarrollo de los niños. Tomando en consideración este proceso de educación e interiorización de valores a través de las dos instituciones educativas más importantes para la educación de los niños, en este trabajo se plantea como objetivo conocer la relación existente en la transmisión de valores entre la familia y la escuela en un centro de Educación Primaria de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria y en el contexto familiar y escolar de alumnado de 4º de Educación Primaria. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo una metodología de diseño mixto, compuesto por dos enfoques: cualitativo y cuantitativo, con la participación de una muestra de 27 familias y 3 maestras-tutoras. En cuanto a los resultados se puede afirmar que no se ha encontrado un acuerdo entre las personas estudiadas sobre la definición exacta del concepto de valor. Además, la prioridad de los valores como la responsabilidad, el esfuerzo o la independencia, mencionadas por muchas familias coincide con otros estudios e investigaciones consultados, o que corrobora la relevancia de estos en los procesos educativos. Además, la mayoría de los resultados obtenidos muestran que tanto las familias como las maestras consideran la educación en valores como un elemento primordial en la vida de los niños, pues esta dirigirá sus actos a lo largo de su desarrollo.

The transmission of values in the school and in the family is one of the most important elements in the current company. The acquisition of values in the early ages is key for the full development of the children. Taking in consideration this process of education and interiorization of values across both most important educational institutions for the education of the children, in this work it considers as lens to know the existing relation in the transmission of values among the family and the school in a center of Primary Education of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria and in the family and school context of student of four level of Primary Education. For it, there has been carried out a methodology of mixed design, composed by two approaches: qualitative and quantitative, with the participation of a sample of 27 families and 3 teachers-tutors. As for the results it is possible to affirm that one has not found an agreement between the persons studied on the exact definition of the concept of value. In addition, the priority of the values as the responsibility, the effort or the independence mentioned by many families they are equal that those of other studies and researches consulted, or that corroborates the relevancy of these in the educational processes. Also, most of the obtained results show that both the families and the teachers consider the education in values as a basic element in the life of the children, since this one will direct his acts along his development.
