Los Valles del Narcea y el Nonaya en la Edad Media (siglos IX-XII): Génesis del territorio salense (Asturias)

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo trata de abordar la formación del concejo de Salas (Asturias) en su etapa inicial, seleccionando el período que va desde el siglo IX al XII, para en posteriores investigaciones concluir con el estudio de toda la Edad Media de este territorio. Se procederá a realizar un estado de la cuestión con recopilación documental y bibliográfica, con el fin de entender los diversos fenómenos que acaecieron en este territorio, y comprobar si su formación es paralela a la de otros territorios. Nos centraremos en ver qué tipo de poblamiento se gesta en la zona de los valles del Narcea y del Nonaya durante este período, a la par que comprobar si ha tenido continuidad en el tiempo

ABSTRACT The present essay tries to approach the formation of the Council of Salas (Salas) in its initial stage, selecting the period that goes from the 9th century to the 12th century, in order to go on with the study of the whole Medieval period in this territory. We will proceed to a documentary and bibliographic compilation to be able tu undestand the different phenomena that happened in this territory, and to verify if its formation is parallel to that of others territories. We will focus on studying what kind of settlement took place in the área of the Narcea and Nonaya valleys during this period and if that settlement had a continuity over time.
