Evaluación de defectos en el recubrimiento, instalación eléctrica y sistema de protección catódica de un buque

Abstract

Este trabajo trata del análisis de averías ocasionadas por la deficiente incorrecta o nula aplicación de sistemas de protección sobre equipos, estableciendo la relación entre las acciones llevadas a cabo por los armadores en situaciones desaconsejadas y la avería que sobreviene en el equipo. El objetivo del presente trabajo es establecer las diferentes averías de los equipos expuestos en un medio hostil durante su desarrollo de trabajo que un buque necesita en su operatividad, además de los métodos más acertados parta tratar este tipo de deficiencias. El estudio de los casos se presentará con una problemática derivada por una acción corrosiva relacionando ésta con la posible causa productora, pudiendo estar esta causa relacionada directamente con una falta de protección o desgaste de la misma en el medio que el buque desarrolla su actividad. Se realizará un seguimiento pormenorizado aplicando técnicas de medición in situ del potencial de corrosión que mantiene el buque durante su fase operativa, pudiéndose establecer las variaciones o alteraciones sufridas por el potencial de corrosión, en relación a la actividad pesquera concreta realizada por el buque.

Abstract: This work deals with the analysis of breakdowns caused by the incorrect or inadequate application of protection systems on equipment, establishing the relationship between the actions carried out by shipowners in unadvisable situations and the breakdown that occurs in the equipment. The objective of this work is to establish the different breakdowns of equipment exposed in a hostile environment during its work development that a ship needs in its operation, in addition to the most successful methods to deal with this type of deficiencies. The study of the cases will be presented with a problem derived from a corrosive action related to the possible producing cause, this cause being directly related to a lack of protection or wear of the same in the environment that the ship develops its activity. A detailed follow-up will be carried out applying on-site measurement techniques of the corrosion potential that the vessel maintains during its operational phase, being able to establish the variations or alterations suffered by the corrosion potential, in relation to the specific fishing activity carried out by the vessel.
