Homología singular y CW-complejos

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este trabajo vamos a introducir la teoría de la homología singular y demostrar sus principales resultados, con el fin de calcular los grupos de homología de las esferas Sn y deducir importantes resultados como el teorema del punto de Brouwer o demostrar que, si m = n, Rm no es homeomorfo a Rn. En la segunda parte del trabajo definiremos unos espacios llamados CW-complejos e introduciremos el concepto de homología celular para poder calcular la homología de dichos espacios. Por último, estudiaremos una serie de espacios ya conocidos (como la esfera, el toro, la botella de Klein y el espacio proyectivo), los veremos como CW-complejos y calcularemos sus grupos de homología singular mediante la homología celular.

ABSTRACT: In this work we introduce the singular homology theory and prove its main results, in order to calculate the homology groups of the spheres Sn and also with the purpose of deducing important results such as the Brouwer fixed-point theorem or prove that, if n = m, then Rm is not homeomorphic to Rn. The second part of this work will be the definition of certain kind of topological spaces, called CW-complex. We introduce the concept of cellular homology in order to calculate the homology groups of this kind of spaces. Finally, we will see familiar spaces (such as the sphere, the torus, the Klein bottle or the projective space) as CW-complexes and we calculte its homology groups.
