El proceso de detección de las altas capacidades en educación infantil: la realidad de las aulas vista a través de dos estudios de casos.

Abstract

RESUMEN: La satisfacción de las necesidades del alumnado con altas capacidades necesita de un proceso eficiente y consensuado de identificación y detección. Sin embargo, actualmente existen una serie de problemas y obstáculos que están dificultando dicha labor. Prueba de ello son las cifras que aportan las estadísticas del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte sobre los alumnos superdotados que carecen de un diagnóstico. El presente trabajo pretende averiguar qué obstáculos existen en la realidad de las aulas a través de la entrevista a un grupo de maestras de un colegio público de la comunidad de Cantabria, con el objetivo último de transmitir un mensaje conciso: la necesidad de un protocolo de detección y atención del alumnado con altas capacidades intelectuales en la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria.

ABSTRACT: The satisfaction of the needs of students with high capacities requires an efficient and consensual process of identification and detection. However, there are currently a series of problems and obstacles that are hindering this work. Proof of this are the figures provided by the statistics of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports on gifted students who lack a diagnosis. The present work aims to find out what obstacles exist in the reality of the classroom through the interview to a group of teachers of a public school of the community of Cantabria, with the ultimate aim of transmitting a concise message: the need for a protocol for the detection of students with high intellectual abilities in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.
