Los trastornos mentales generan una gran inquietud y una extrema inseguridad. Aparecen con episodios y patologías tanto puntuales como transitorias que pueden estar generados por múltiples factores, desde aspectos físicos, genéticos y biológicos hasta razones socioculturales, económicas y ambientales. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la distribución espacial y temporal de la ocurrencia de este tipo de enfermedades en la ciudad de Santander y verificar el papel que distintas variables atmosféricas desempeñan respecto a la ocurrencia de admisiones hospitalarias asociadas a este tipo de trastornos. Las fuentes de datos empleadas son los casos registrados con código 300 al 316 (CIE-9) de personas que residen en la ciudad de Santander a partir del CMBD-H del Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad para el periodo de 2007 a 2013. Mediante un análisis previo de la cuestión y una metodología específica, el estudio quiere demostrar la existencia de una relación entre las admisiones hospitalarias por trastornos de este tipo de enfermedades y los cambios de tiempo, expresados mediante los índices señalados, dentro de un entorno urbano como la ciudad de Santander y atendiendo a las particularidades socioeconómicas de sus diferentes barrios, también consideradas en el estudio.

The data sources used are the cases registered with code 300 to 316 (CIE-9) of people residing in the city of Santander from the CMBD-H of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality for the period 2007 to 2013 Through a previous analysis of the issue and a specific methodology, the study aims to demonstrate the existence of a relationship between hospital admissions for disorders of this type of diseases and changes in time, expressed through the aforementioned indices, within an urban environment. as the city of Santander and attending to the socioeconomic particularities of its different neighborhoods, also considered in the study.
