La crisis de los refugiados en Europa y el Brexit

Abstract

RESUMEN: Según Naciones Unidas hay en el mundo más de mil quinientos millones de personas que viven en países afectados por conflictos. La Unión Europea se enfrenta a la mayor tragedia humanitaria acaecida en sus fronteras después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Esta situación sin precedentes está generando una crisis humanitaria y social con amplia repercusión económica. Se ha puesto en evidencia la vulneración que los estados miembros están haciendo de la legislación comunitaria en cuanto a asilo y refugio, por otra parte, ha derivado en respuestas sociales encontradas, dando lugar a brotes de actitudes xenófobas. De la misma forma, se han abierto discrepancias entre países de la Unión amenazando el espacio Schengen, derivando finalmente en la salida de Reino Unido de la Unión Europea, con el voto a favor del Brexit. Este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo el análisis descriptivo de las circunstancias y efectos que rodean a la actual crisis de refugiados que vive Europa, formulando, como decimos, la relación entre dicha crisis y el Brexit puesto en marcha en Reino Unido, para determinar si subyace una relación entre esta decisión y dicha crisis, así como las consecuencias que pueda acarrear en la materia que nos ocupa.

ABSTRACT: According to the United Nations, there are more than 1.5 billion people in the world who live in countries affected by conflicts. TheEuropeanUnion faces the greatest humanitarian tragedy that occurred on its borders after the Second World War. This unprecedented situation is generating a humanitarian and social crisis with broad economic repercussions. The violation that the member states are making of the community legislation in terms of asylum and refuge has been exposed, on the other hand, it has resulted in social responses found, giving rise to outbreaks of xenophobic attitudes. In the same way, discrepancies have been opened between countries of the Union threatening the Schengen area, eventually leading to the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union, with the vote in favor of Brexit. This work has as its main objective the descriptive analysis of the circumstances and effects that surround the current refugee crisis that Europe is living, formulating, as we say, the relationship between this crisis and the Brexit launched in the United Kingdom, to determine if the underlying a relationship between this decision and said crisis, as well as the consequences that may result in thematter at hand.
