La previsión social en el Estado español durante el régimen franquista

Abstract

RESUMEN Tras una cruenta guerra civil, en 1939, se impuso el régimen dictatorial franquista. Este régimen intentó legitimarse ante los trabajadores, agrícolas e industriales, utilizando para ello la previsión social. La previsión se basó en la protección exclusiva a los trabajadores, en el corporativismo y en el alejamiento de las tendencias europeas. En cualquier caso, esta política no cumplió sus objetivos y se convirtió en propaganda. El órgano gestor de esta política fue el Instituto Nacional de Previsión (INP), que se convirtió en escenario de pugnas entre las distintas familias políticas del régimen.

ABSTRACT After a bloody civil war, in 1939, Franco's dictatorial regime was imposed. This regime tried to legitimise itself among insdutrial and agrarian workers, using social prevision for this purpose. The social prevision was based on the exclusive protection of workers, on corporatism and on a moving away from European trends. In any case, this policy did not meet its objectives and became propaganda. The managing institution of this policy was the National Welfare Institute, which became the scene of struggles between the different political families of the regime.
