Resumen/Abstract
The interest towards design optimization has always been a constant within the industry, and this is the motivation for the accomplishment of this Bachelor Thesis. The purpose of this one is to model and optimize the geometry of four different models of bike frames available in the market.
The project is divided into two segments: design, and stress analysis and optimization. The first consists on the creation of the bike frames in CATIA V5® from the data that the different brands give of their bike geometries. These bike frames must have their nine variables parameterized, in order to be able to change them in a determined range.
The next step is to perform the stress analysis under an external force using also the program CATIA V5® and, by coupling with the multi objective optimization program Mode FRONTIER 2017®, to find out what is the bike frame design with the optimal stress to weight ratio.
