Las élites hispanas durante los gobiernos de Trajano y Adriano

Abstract

RESUMEN La finalidad de este trabajo es hacer un recorrido por la historia de las élites hispano-romanas a comienzos del siglo II, concretamente con los gobiernos de los primeros emperadores hispanos Trajano y Adriano. Para llevar acabó esta tarea comenzamos con una presentación y contextualización historia tanto del siglo II, como de Trajano y Adriano, haciendo un breve repaso por la hechos fundamentales de su gobierno, así como de sus ideologías política y la personalidad de ambos. Acto seguido pasaremos a hablar del carácter de la aristocracia imperial y la importancia de esta para el buen funcionamiento de la administración del enorme territorio que ocupaba el Imperio romano y el mantenimiento de la paz. Así podremos llegar a la tarea que nos ocupa e indagar en las élites hispanorromanas con su respectiva llegada a los niveles más alto de la sociedad y el mantenimiento de su poder. Estas élites se distribuyeron entorno a tres ordines superiores dependiendo de su nivel de influencia, fortuna y grado de romanización, por lo que las expondremos conforme a su división en: ordo decurionum, ordo ecuester y ordo senatorius. Finalmente, hablaremos de una de las familias más sobresalientes dentro de las élites hispanorromanas, Los Minicii Natales, y su trascendencia histórica.

ABSTRACT The main purpose of this essay is to go through the hispano-roman elites stories at the beginning of the second century, specifically regarding the governments of the first Roman emperor from Hispanic, Trajano and Adriano. To carry out this task, we will start with a historical presentation and contextualization of both, the second century and a review through the main facts of Trajano and Adriano’s governments, mentioning also their political ideologies and personalities. Later on, we will move on to discuss the character of the Imperial aristocracy and its importance for the proper functioning and the peace keeping of the big territory occupied by the Roman Empire. This way we will get to the assignment of exploring into the hispano-roman elites reaching the highest levels of society and the maintenance of the power. These elites were distributed according to three superior ordines depending on the level of influence, fortune and romanization. Therefore, we will expose them according to their division in: ordo decurionum, ordo ecuester and ordo senatorius. Finally, we will talk about one of the most outstanding families among the hispano-roman elites, The Minicii Natales, and its historical transcendence.
