Feminismo y Masculinidades. Una propuesta didáctica para fomentar la implicación de los hombres en la lucha por la igualdad de género

Abstract

RESUMEN: El papel de los hombres en el movimiento feminista y su necesaria implicación para conseguir una sociedad igualitaria entre hombres y mujeres son los dos ejes principales sobre los que versa este trabajo fin de máster, profundizando para ello, en términos clave como: masculinidades, privilegio masculino y alianza. Además, se analiza el Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Promoción de la Igualdad de Género impartido en España y se presenta una propuesta didáctica denominada “¡Alíate! Principios para convertirse en un aliado por la igualdad de género”. La propuesta fue implementada en dicho Ciclo Formativo durante el curso escolar 2017/2018 que se imparte en el IES María Telo (Cantabria) y que persigue no solo fomentar la igualdad real entre hombres y mujeres sino también sensibilizar de la necesidad de incorporar a los hombres en la lucha feminista.

ABSTRACT: This MA thesis explores the issue of men and Feminism, and the required involvement of this group to achieve true gender equality in our society. In order to do so, the thesis is structured around three key concepts: masculinities, male privilege and allyship. In the second part, the thesis analyses the contents of the course of High-Level Technical Degree in Gender Equality taught in Spain. Finally, this thesis offers an originally designed teaching activity named, “Become an ally! Principles to become an ally for gender equality”. The teaching unit was designed to promote real equality between men and women, as well as to raise awareness of the need to incorporate men into the feminist struggle. It was implemented in the Maria Telo high school in Cantabria.
