Escuela rural en Cantabria: un estudio cualitativo en tres centros

Abstract

RESUMEN: Pese a que la escuela rural está presente dentro del marco educativo español, sigue siendo para muchas personas un tipo de escuela desconocida o alejada de la enseñanza ordinaria. En este documento se pretende dar a conocer las características de la escuela rural desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad, así como caracterizar su contexto y protagonistas. Para obtener y presentar la información con la mayor veracidad posible, se han realizado entrevistas y cuestionarios a tutoras de tres aulas pertenecientes a tres escuelas rurales cántabras elegidas al azar, para así conocer y analizar su realidad. Gracias a estos datos recogidos y mostrados en el presente documento, se pueden concluir una serie de reflexiones a través de sus puntos fuertes y aspectos a mejorar, concluyendo con la idea general de que existe una necesidad real de luchar por la supervivencia de este tipo de escuelas.

ABSTRACT: Even though the rural school is present inside the Spanish educational framework, continues to be for many people one type of school unknown or distant from the ordinary teaching. In this paper provides information about the characteristics of the rural school since beginning until nowadays, as well as characterize their context and actors. To obtain and present the information with the highest possible veracity, interviews and questionnaires have been conducted to three rural school teachers in schools of Cantabria randomly selected, to know their reality. Thanks to this data collected and shown in this paper, we can conclude a number of reflections through their strengths and aspects to improve, concluding with the general idea that exist a real necessity to fight for the survival of this type of the schools.
