Intervención educativa en aulas hospitalarias. Percepción de las familias

Abstract

RESUMEN La hospitalización durante periodos de tiempo prolongados se presenta en la vida de algunas personas sin aviso previo pudiendo afectar a determinados ambientes de sus vidas, como puede ser el ámbito académico. El objetivo, por tanto, de este trabajo es conocer cómo influye el paso hospitalario de un niño paciente en su trayectoria escolar, así como la vivencia del proceso desde el punto de vista de la familia. La investigación gira en torno al paradigma interpretativo, debido al interés de conocer el significado de las acciones humanas y darle sentido a las mismas. La naturaleza del estudio es de corte cualitativo, puesto que se obtendrán respuestas mediante el análisis de información obtenida a través de la comunicación y de la participación democrática del investigador y el objeto investigado. Para la obtención de la información necesaria se cuenta con el testimonio, de una niña hospitalizada en una unidad de oncología y el de su madre para poder así comparar una misma situación vivida desde dos vertientes distintas. Todo este proceso de recogida de datos es llevado a cabo a través de la realización de una entrevista en profundidad realizada en dos sesiones. Las evidencias recogidas ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de garantizar una continuidad académica a través de propuestas adaptadas al caso y estado de cada niño hospitalizado, con el fin de minimizar el desfase académico que pueda sufrir por la no asistencia continuada a su centro escolar.

ABSTRACT Hospitalization for long periods of time may occur in the lives of some people without prior notice and can affect in ways such as academic field. The objective of this work is to find out how the hospital may affect or influence the patient's school trajectory from the family point of view. This research revolves around the interpretive paradigm due to the interest of knowing the meaning of him and actions and making sense of them. The nature of the study is qualitative since answers will be obtained through the information analysis obtained from the parts involved, including the researcher. In order to obtain the necessary data, we have the testimony of a girl, hospitalized in an oncology unit and her mother, in order to compare the same situation from two different perspectives. All this process is carried through an in-depth interview consisting in two sessions. The collected evidence highlights the need of ensuring academic continuity adapting to the case and condition of each hospitalized child in order to minimize the academic gap that may be suffered by the continued absence of school.
