Astander: sistema de información para la subcontratación de la industria auxiliar

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este trabajo se centra en el sector de la construcción, transformación y reparación de buques, sector caracterizado por la situación de incertidumbre debido a la globalización, la crisis y la competitividad intensa de los astilleros. Este escenario obliga a los astilleros a mejorar la gestión de sus procesos y así mejorar su competitividad. El carácter discontinuo e intermitente de la demanda actual de los astilleros, convierte la subcontratación en una forma idónea de contratación para sofocar tal demanda y de esta manera poder variabilizar los costes, reduciendo los costes fijos. Así como poder obtener otras ventajas tanto en términos de coste como en términos de talento y de tecnología. Por lo tanto, es posible mediante la subcontratación mejorar la competitividad de la empresa. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es el análisis y propuesta de mejoras del sistema de información para la toma de decisiones en el área de subcontratación de la industria auxiliar en Astander. Este trabajo está basado en un caso real, por lo que el estudio ha permitido detectar problemas y realizar propuestas de mejora que incrementen la utilidad del sistema de información que sirve de base para la toma de decisiones en el ámbito de la subcontratación.

ABSTRACT: This work focuses on the construction, transformation and repair sector of ships, a sector characterized by the situation of uncertainty due to the globalization, the crisis and the intense competitiveness of the shipyards. This stage obliges the shipyards to improve the management of their processes and thus improve their competitiveness. The discontinuous and intermittent nature of the current demand of the shipyards, makes subcontracting an ideal way of hiring to stifle such demand and in this way to vary the costs, reducing the fixed costs. As well as being able to get other advantages both in terms of cost and in terms of talent and technology. Therefore, it is possible through subcontracting to improve the competitiveness of the company. The main objective of this work is the analysis and proposal of improvements of the information system for the decision making in the area of subcontracting of the auxiliary industry in Astander. This work is based on a real case, so the study has allowed to detect problems and make proposals for improvement that increase the usefulness of the information system that serves as a basis for decision making in the field of subcontracting.
