La Bella y la Bestia Un análisis crítico de los estereotipos de género en Disney

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se ofrece al lector una descripción, comparativa y analítica, de las dos películas de Disney “La Bella y la Bestia”, una perteneciente al año 1991 y la otra, estrenada recientemente en 2017. Este análisis pretende resolver un interrogante: ¿Ha cambiado Disney sus valores y la representación de los mismos en estos veintiséis años? El trabajo se centrará en analizar las actitudes y los valores sexistas que quedan representados en las películas de la factoría Disney y que llegan a millones de hogares, y por tanto, a millones de niños. Estos contenidos tienen el mismo valor educacional para los más pequeños que el colegio o la familia. Es por ello que uno de los objetivos de este trabajo es concienciar para ser críticos, tanto los docentes como las familias, con los valores que llegan a los niños a través de las empresas de entretenimiento.

ABSTRACT: This Final Degree Project aims to offer a description, comparison and analysis of the two Disney films, "Beauty and the Beast", one of them is a 1991 film and the other has recently released in 2017. This comparative is intended to solve a question: Has Disney changed its values and the representation of them in the last twenty six years? The work will focus also on analyzing the sexist attitudes and values that are represented in the films of the Disney factory, which reach millions of homes, and therefore, millions of children. These contents have the same educational value for kids than the school or the family. For this reason, one of the objectives of this work is to raise people awareness about the values that reach children through entertainment companies
