Análisis económico-financiero del sector del turismo

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este proyecto trataremos de analizar, en primer lugar, la situación actual del sector turístico y, en concreto, el sector hotelero. En segundo lugar, estudiar mediante un análisis económico financiero el sector hotelero en Cantabria para los años 2008 y 2013. La metodología llevada a cabo para alcanzar dichos objetivos consta de dos partes. En primer lugar, realizaremos un análisis exhaustivo del sector del turismo a nivel mundial y nacional, así como un análisis de una de las ramas más importantes del turismo como es el sector del alojamiento, concretamente el sector hotelero, observando la situación económica del país en los años ya mencionados con el propósito de ver cómo influye la economía española en el turismo. Una vez finalizada la parte teórica, nos centraremos en llevar a cabo un análisis económico-financiero del sector hotelero en Cantabria según la categoría de los hoteles, para los años 2008 y 2013, llevado a cabo mediante el estudio de sus Cuentas Anuales y el cálculo e interpretación de las correspondientes ratios, con el objetivo de alcanzar una conclusión real que se derivara del conjunto de datos que estudiaremos. Después de llevar a cabo dicho análisis, se puede concluir que el sector turístico es clave para la economía española y está en constante crecimiento, teniendo unas grandes expectativas para los próximos años. Aunque es cierto que parte de los resultados obtenidos han empeorado en el periodo analizado, la situación del sector hotelero en general es favorable.

ABSTRACT: In this Project, we shall try to analyse, first, the actual situation of tourist sector and in particular, the hotel sector. Secondly, we shall examine the hotel sector in Cantabria for years 2008 and 2013 by means of an Economic and Financial analysis. The methodology corned out to achieve these objectives consists of two parts. First, we shall conduct exhaustive analysis of the tourism on a, global and national scale, as well as an analysis of one of the most important sectors in tourism as the accommodation sector, specifically comparing the economic situation in the country in the aforementioned years, with the purpose of see how it influences the Spanish economy en tourism. On completing the theoretical part, we shall focus on carrying out an economic and financial analysis of the hotel sector in Cantabria according to the category of the hotels, for the years 2008 and 2013, corned out by studying their annual accounts statements and the calculation and interpretation of the corresponding ratios, in order to achieve a real conclusión that will derive from the data set that we will study. After carrying out this analsis, we can conclude that the tourist sector is a key to the Spanish economic and it is in constant growth, leading to good prospects for the next years. Although it is true that part of results obtained has worsened over the period analysed, the situation of the hotel sector in general is good.
