Análisis estratégico del sector del surf en Ribamontán al Mar

Abstract

RESUMEN: El principal motivo de este proyecto es analizar el sector turístico de surf en Ribamontán al Mar y así elegir la mejor estrategia, con el fin de potenciar el crecimiento de esta industria en dicho municipio. En las siguientes líneas veremos un análisis estratégico completo del sector siguiendo los pasos necesarios para alcanzar los resultados deseados. He obtenido parte de la información del Plan de Competitividad Turística del Producto Surf en Ribamontán al Mar, el cual describe los proyectos que el municipio debe llevar a cabo para continuar creciendo. En primer lugar he realizado un análisis del entorno de Ribamontán, tanto a nivel externo como interno, con el fin de obtener las fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas del municipio (Análisis DAFO). A pesar de las medidas tomadas, tanto por los organismos públicos como por los privados, para mejorar la situación del municipio, el sector turístico puede verse afectado por ciertas situaciones de inestabilidad desde el punto de vista político, social y económico. El lento crecimiento del PIB tras la grave recesión económica de años atrás, el decrecimiento de la inflación, el déficit en la balanza fiscal y el alto índice de turismo en edades avanzadas son algunos de los aspectos que afectan de manera negativa creando un entorno desfavorable para el continuo avance del sector turístico. Sin embargo, a pesar de las amenazas y debilidades que presenta este sector, son muchas las fortalezas y oportunidades de las que dispone el municipio, por lo que la influencia negativa puede ser disipada. Una imagen de marca fuerte y atractiva, la desestacionalización de la demanda, los avances tecnológicos y la cultura empresarial son algunos de los factores que potencian aspectos positivos en relación a la situación actual del municipio como la generación de empleo, el crecimiento económico y el intercambio cultural que existe en Ribamontán. Una vez conocidos los principales puntos fuertes y débiles del municipio, se deberá fijar una estrategia que permita alcanzar los objetivos, encaminada a conseguir el aprovechamiento de todos los aspectos positivos, externos e internos, para así evitar o reducir en la medida de lo posible las debilidades del sector.

ABSTRACT:The main reason of this project is to analyze the tourist surf sector in Ribamontán al Mar, in order to choose the best strategy to potentiate the industry growth in this municipality. In the following lines we will see a complete strategic analysis of the sector following the necessary steps to achieve the desired results. I have obtained part of the information of the Surf Product Development Plan in Ribamontán al Mar, which describes the projects that the municipality must carry out to continue to grow. Firstly, I have done an analisys of the environment of Ribamontán al Mar, both externally and internally, in order to obtain municipality’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT Analisys). Despite measures taken by both public and private organisms to improve the situation of the municipality, tourist sector may be affected by certain political, social and economic inestability situation. The slow growth of GDP after the serious recession years ago, the decrease of inflation, the déficit in the fiscal balance and the high rate of tourism in advanced ages are some of the aspects that affect in a negative way creating an unfavorable environment for the continuous advance of the tourist sector. However, despite threats and weaknesses presented by this sector, there are many strengths and opportunities available to the municipality, so that negative influence can be dissipated. A strong and attractive brand image, the deseasonalization of demand, tecnological advances and bussines culture are some of the factors that potentiate positive aspects in relation to the current situation of the municipality as the generation of employment, economic growth and cultural exchange that exist in Ribamontán. Once the main strengths and weaknesses of the municipality are known, it should be fixed an strategy that achieves the objectives, aiming to obtain the use of all positive aspects, external and internal, to avoid or reduce as much as possible weaknesses of the sector.
