La Historia antigua en educación secundaria: realidad y posibilidades

Abstract

RESUMEN La Historia antigua en la educación secundaria se ha visto reducida a un puesto marginal, castigada por las leyes educativas y por la falta de tiempo en el aula dedicado a ella. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo mostrar la realidad de esta parte de la Historia en las últimas leyes que han venido definiendo nuestro sistema educativo, así como su situación en las aulas, proponiendo a continuación tres posibles aplicaciones de la Historia antigua a la formación de valores entre los alumnos, y, finalmente, unas bases que se ajusten a las exigencias de la LOMCE para una propuesta didáctica.

ABSTRACT Ancient history in secondary education has been reduced to a marginal position, punished by educational laws and the lack of time in classroom devoted to it. This work aims to show the reality of this part of history in recent laws that have been defining our educational system and their situation in the classroom, proposing three possible applications of ancient history to the formation of values between the students, and finally bases for an educational proposal that conform to the requirements of the LOMCE.
