Motivación en Ciencias: hacia una enseñanza de la Física y Química emocionante

Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Máster es analizar la motivación de los estudiantes y su influencia en el aprendizaje de las asignaturas de Ciencias, estudiando las emociones a las que se enfrentan los alumnos y los rasgos que caracterizan al profesorado. Por último, se plantean una serie de pautas a considerar a la hora de diseñar nuestra práctica docente como profesores de Física y Química, dotando de especial relevancia a la afectividad en el aula como factor determinante en la motivación de nuestros alumnos. Se concluye este trabajo apuntando a la clara necesidad de trabajar las emociones en el aprendizaje de las Ciencias como parte fundamental del espíritu científico. Debemos enfocar nuestro labor en el aula hacia la motivación y el interés duradero de nuestros alumnos por la materia a impartir.

ABSTRACT:The aim of this paper is to analyse the student’s motivation and its influence on the learning of the Science subjects by exploring their emotions and the traits that characterize teachers. Finally, a series of patterns has been suggested in order to be considered in the design of our teaching practice as Physics and Chemistry teachers, emphasizing the role of the affectivity in the classroom as a determining factor of our student’s motivation. This work concludes by evidencing the need to focus on the student’s emotions during the learning process of Science, as a main part of the scientific spirit. The role of the teachers should be focussed on the class’s motivation and on fostering a long-term interest of the pupils on the subject that is being taught.
