Análisis económico y financiero del sector lácteo

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo, se trata de realizar un análisis económico y financiero sobre el sector lácteo en tres comunidades autónomas españolas, Galicia, Asturias y Cantabria. Se lleva a cabo un análisis de la evolución que ha tenido el mencionado sector y los factores que han podido propiciar esta situación. El sector lácteo ha cambiado mucho a lo largo de los últimos años. Nos encontramos en una industria que ya ha alcanzado su fase de madurez e incluso, podemos decir, que se encuentra en una fase de declive. Esto, unido a los cambios coyunturales que se están llevando a cabo, hace que la situación por la que pasan las explotaciones ganaderas no es la más adecuada y cada vez se hace más insostenible. Los ganaderos españoles están muy descontentos, llegando incluso a manifestarse por todas las calles del país. El Estado trata de importar la leche de países extranjeros puesto que es mucho más rentable que aquí. Esto hace que el producto importado no sea tan natural como el producto nacional pues en otros países, la legislación que actúa en esta materia, no es tan restrictiva como aquí y no se les exige tanto a los ganaderos. El hecho de que la legislación sea muy estricta en nuestro país puede deberse a que las empresas han cometido muchos fraudes por los cuales han salido al mercado muchos litros de leche ilegales. De este modo, el análisis se ha hecho con una base de datos de cinco años que comprende desde el año 2011 al año 2015 (ambos inclusive). El año 2016 no ha sido llevado a análisis debido a la no disponibilidad de los datos para el cálculo de los diferentes ratios. Se dispone de un total de datos de 118 empresas extraídos del Sistema de Análisis de Balances Ibéricos (SABI), base de datos de la cual dispone la Universidad de Cantabria. Se analizarán datos pertenecientes a partidas del Balance de Situación y la Cuenta de Pérdidas y Ganancias. Como conclusión del trabajo, se exponen las ideas principales extraídas del análisis, así como soluciones y recomendaciones que puedan ayudar al desarrollo de un sector tan importante para el ser humano como es el sector lácteo.

ABSTRACT: In the present project, we address an economic and financial analysis on the dairy sector in three Spanish autonomous communities, Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria and an analysis of the evolution of this sector and the factors that have contributed to this situation. The dairy sector has changed a lot over the last few years. It is in an industry that has already reached its maturity stage and we can even say that it is in a declining phase. This fact, and the current changes that are taking place, means that the situation of livestock farms is not the most adequate and is becoming increasingly unsustainable. Spanish farmers are very unhappy, even go through demonstrations along the streets of the country. The State tries to import milk from foreign countries since it is much more profitable than in here. This makes the imported product not as natural as the national product because, in other countries the legislation that acts in this area, is not as restrictive as here and farmers are not so much demanded. The reason why the law is very strict in our country may be due to the fact that many companies have committed frauds putting liters of illegal milk in the market. Thus, the analysis has been done with a database of five years that covers from the year 2011 to the year 2015 (inclusive). The year 2016 has not been taken to analysis due to the non- availability of data for the calculation of the different ratios. A total of 118 companies are available from the Iberian Balances Analysis System (SABI), a database reachable to the University of Cantabria. Data of items in the Balance Sheet and the Profit and Loss Account will be analyzed. As a conclusion of the paper, the main ideas extracted from the analysis are presented, as well as solutions and recommendations that can help the development of a sector as important for the human being as the dairy sector.
