Subcontratación en el sector de la construcción de edificios en Cantabria

Abstract

RESUMEN: La subcontratación es una práctica muy común en el mundo empresarial, cada vez son más las empresas que optan por esta alternativa. Consiste en contratar un proveedor externo para realizar una tarea previamente ejecutada por la propia organización y también incluso pueden implicar nuevas actividades. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la importancia de la subcontratación en el sector de la construcción y más específicamente en la subcontratación en la construcción de edificios. De esta manera se pretende conocer cuáles son las principales actividades subcontratadas, así como las principales ventajas e inconvenientes de la subcontratación. Para dar respuesta al objetivo, se han analizado las cuentas anuales de las empresas del sector a nivel regional y se ha enviado una encuesta a varias de las empresas para que opinen sobre la importancia de una serie de ventajas e inconvenientes de la subcontratación. Las actividades más subcontratadas en relación a los resultados obtenidos son excavaciones, estructuras de hormigón y metálicas, fontanería, pintura, carpintería, electricidad, colocación de andamios, revestimientos de yeso y mortero, pintura, pladur, movimientos de tierra, instalaciones de gas y grúas. Las ventajas más importantes para las empresas son: mayor flexibilidad, velocidad y capacidad de respuesta y aumento de la productividad derivada de la mayor especialización. Los principales inconvenientes son: los problemas de control de la seguridad e higiene en el trabajo y los incumplimientos de plazos de la subcontrata.

ABSTRACT: Outsourcing is increasingly common in today’s commerce, there are more and more companies which choose this option. It consists of hiring an external service provider to carry out a task which used to be done by the company itself and at the same time, this new provider might get new tasks done. This study focuses on analysing how influential outsourcing is in the building sector and more exactly in the outsourcing of the building of buildings.This, the most important outsourced services as well as the main advantages and drawbacks of outsourcing are expected to be known. In order to achieve this goal, the anual accounts of the companies of the building sector have been analysed on regional basis and a survey has been sent to several companies to give us their opinion about the role that a series of advantages and drawbacks of the outsourcing plays in all that. According to the survey, the most commonly outsourced services are as follows: excavations, concrete and metal structures,plumbing, painting, carpentry,placement of scaffoldings, gypsum and mortar cladding, plasterboard, soil removal,gas installations and cranes. On the one hand, the main benefits of outsourcing for the companies are the following ones: more flexibility, faster and better service, an increase in productivity due to highly-skilled resources. On the other hand, the main drawbacks of outsourcing are as follows: lack of control over safety and hygiene issues at work and delays in the work output.
