RESUMEN: El mundo empresarial, cada vez más globalizado, requiere de herramientas que les ayuden en el día a día para realizar sus actividades de forma más resolutiva. Las organizaciones empresariales se encuentran divididas en departamentos, donde uno de los más importantes y frecuentes es el departamento contable, encargado de ejercer funciones financieras y de control. Se encarga de la gestión empresarial de aspectos como los gastos e ingresos, de la situación financiera, del valor de los activos, de la gestión de cobros y pagos… entre otras muchas tareas. La información que aporta este departamento es muy valiosa, no sólo para conocer y cuantificar la situación del negocio sino también para definir estrategias y tomar decisiones. Por lo tanto, una decisión previa que debe plantear la dirección de la empresa es como va a gestionar y controlar esa información. El papel impreso se encuentra ahora en un estado de retroceso, donde las aplicaciones informáticas son cada vez más utilizadas. La tecnología de la información y comunicación junto con los equipos informáticos son herramientas que ayudan a construir el sistema de información contable en estos departamentos, cuyo núcleo radica en el software contable. La elección del programa no es tarea sencilla, requiere un conocimiento pleno del funcionamiento de la empresa, de las gestiones internas, donde el tamaño, el número de empleados y la cifra de negocios son elementos que se deben tener en cuenta también. Las necesidades de cada negocio son diferentes y por lo tanto se buscarán diferentes características en una aplicación contable. Este trabajo se realiza con la intención de servir como guía a futuros empresarios y/o empresas que se embarquen en el universo de la contabilidad por primera vez.
ABSTRACT: The business world, increasingly globalized, requires tools that help in the short term to carry out its activities in a more resolute way. The business organizations are divided into departments, one of the most important and frequent is the accounting one, in charge of exercising financial and control functions. It is responsible for the business management of expenses and revenues, financial situation, value of assets, management of collections and payments ... among many other tasks. The information of this department is very valuable, not only to know and quantify the situation of the business itself but also to define strategies and make decisions. Therefore, a prior decision that must be made by the company's management is how it will manage and control that information. Printed paper is now in the backward state, where computer applications are increasingly used. Information and Communications Technology, together with computer equipment are tools that help build the accounting information system in these departments, whose core lies in the accounting software. The choice of the right program is not a simple task, it requires a complete knowledge of the operation of the company, of the internal management, where the size, the number of employees and the turnover must be considered too. The needs of each business are different and therefore they look for different functionalities in a program. This work is done with the intention of serving as a guide to future entrepreneurs and / or companies that embark on the accounting universe for the first time.
