La inmigración femenina en Torrelavega en 1870

Abstract

RESUMEN: A lo largo del presente trabajo se estudiará la inmigración femenina en Torrelavega, analizando los datos de su Padrón Municipal de 1870. Dicho estudio ayudará a entender por qué se producían inmigraciones a la villa torrelaveguense, de mujeres solas pero generalmente con sus familias, siendo reflejo de la situación económica y demográfica de la villa. Se tratará la posición de la mujer en dicha época, con aspectos tan importantes como los trabajos que desempeñaban, tema del que no existe demasiada información al respecto.

ABSTRACT: Throughout this dissertation we will study the femenine inmigration in Torrelavega, analyzing the information of his Population Census of 1870. This study will help to understand why inmigrations were produced, alone women but generally with their families, being a reflection of the economic and demographic situation. The position of the woman will treat itself at that time, with aspects so important such as their jobs, topic of the one that does not exist too much information in the matter.
