La actividad comercial de Bilbao en el tránsito a la modernidad. Ss. XV y XVI.

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo pretende analizar y exponer la actividad comercial que desarrolló la villa y puerto de Bilbao a través de las Ordenanzas Municipales que el Concejo y Regimiento de Bilbao redactaron entre 1477-1520, por medio de las cuales se llevó a cabo la regulación de los distintos aspectos de la vida urbana de la villa, incidiendo unilateralmente en todos los ámbitos de la vida social. De este modo, siendo Bilbao una villa costera del cantábrico y un puerto fluvial excelente, el más importante del Señorío de Vizcaya, fueron recogidas entre sus ordenanzas, de forma recurrente, normativas de carácter marítimo y comercial que nos han permitido conocer detalladamente el marcado carácter mercantil de la población bilbaína.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this Bachelor’s Thesis is the analysis of the commercial activity developed in the town and port of Bilbao, by studying the Municipal Ordinances wrote from 1477 to 1520 in the Council and Regiment of this city. In this manner, the different aspects of the town’s urban life were regulated, unilaterally affecting all aspects of social life. Thus, being Bilbao a coastal town of the Bay of Biscay and also an excellent river port, the most important of the Lordship of Vizcaya, its Ordinances repeatedly gathered maritime and commercial regulations, which allowed us to look in depth the inner commercial nature of Bilbao´s population.
