Violencia y conflictos cotidianos en la España del antiguo régimen

Abstract

RESUMEN: Durante el Antiguo Régimen la violencia fue un problema crónico en las sociedades europeas como bien se puede atestiguar con hechos tan conocidos como guerras, tumultos, revoluciones, ejecuciones, etc. En este trabajo, no obstante, se estudia la violencia cotidiana, la que era estructural en la sociedad española de entre el siglo XVI al XVIII, para conocer el impacto de este hecho en la sociedad, los perpetradores, víctimas y entornos en los que se ejercía, y las cifras que proporcionó dicha situación. Es un estado de la cuestión sobre una materia que aún requiere mucha investigación y que, sin embargo, viene ocupando la atención de muchos investigadores internacionales en el último medio siglo.

ABSTRACT: During the Old Regime the violence have a key role in European society as can well be testified by facts as well known as wars, riots, revolutions, executions, etc. In this work is going to study the daily violence what was chronic in the Spanish society between the XVI to XVIII centuries, for know the impact to this fact in the society, perpetrators, victims and the environments which it was exercised, and the figures provided by this situation. This important subjects still need wider research, despite the great effort of international historians after the end of the Second World War.
