¿Qué podemos aprender del sistema educativo finlandés? La formación del profesorado

Abstract

RESUMEN: Muchas son las evidencias que confirman la delicada situación en la que nuestro sistema educativo se encuentra: los altos índices de abandono escolar, la desmotivación de maestros y alumnos, la falta de acuerdos políticos sobre el currículum, etc. Estos datos estadísticos indican que algunas de nuestras estrategias están fallando y que es tareas de todos reconstruir nuestros pilares. Sin desprestigiar los excelentes docentes que luchan cada día por mejorar nuestra enseñanza esta revisión teórica propone mirar hacia Finlandia, para analizar los motivos que le colocan entre los mejores países en cuanto a la calidad educativa. Entre estos fundamentos, la selección y formación del profesorado será el primer cimiento hacia el progreso. Para llegar a esta conclusión, hemos necesitado conceptualizar y conocer que es un sistema educativo y a qué llamamos fracaso escolar, de la mano de Melgarejo, X (2013) <<Gracias, Finlandia>>. Analizaremos además las diferencias entre ambos métodos y aquellos aspectos que podemos aprender de Finlandia; teniendo en cuenta nuestras características socioculturales y nuestra necesidad de reforma profunda.

ABSTRACT: There are many evidences that confirm the delicate situation in which our educational system finds itself: the high rates of school drop-out, the lack of motivation of teachers and students, the lack of political agreements on the curriculum, etc. These statistical data indicate that some of our strategies are failing and that it is everyone's task to rebuild our pillars. Without discrediting the excellent teachers who struggle every day to improve our teaching this theoretical review proposes looking at Finland, to analyze the reasons that place it among the best countries in terms of educational quality. Among these fundamentals, teacher selection and training will be the first foundation for progress. To reach this conclusion, we have needed to conceptualize and know what an educational system is and what we call school failure, by the hand of Melgarejo, X (2013) << Thanks, Finland >>. Besides we will analyze the differences between both methods and those aspects that we can learn from Finland; considering our sociocultural characteristics and our need for profound reform.
