El papel docente en la detección y notificación de situaciones de desprotección infantil

Abstract

RESUMEN: La desprotección infantil es un fenómeno aún desconocido para un alto porcentaje de la sociedad. No obstante, dada su gravedad, debe ser abordado lo antes posible y acorde a un protocolo de actuación. Las situaciones de desprotección infantil están presentes en todos los estratos de la sociedad y, debido al papel que juegan los docentes y la escuela en la vida de los niños, estos profesionales se encuentran en un puesto privilegiado para detectarlas y llevar a cabo la notificación pertinente. El presente trabajo pretende revisar y analizar la información existente acerca de cuál es el papel que juega la escuela en la detección y notificación de situaciones de desprotección infantil. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo una revisión de la literatura existente de la cual se ha extraído que no se notifica tanto como se debería debido a la existencia de varias barreras. Además, se plantean algunas propuestas de mejora para superar estas barreras y dificultades por las cuales, desde el contexto escolar, no se llevan a cabo las notificaciones que cabría esperar.

ABSTRACT: The children vulnerability is an unknown phenomenon for a high percentage of the society. Nevertheless, considering its gravity, it must be tackled as soon as possible and according to a performance protocol. The situations of children vulnerability are present in all the society and, due to the role that there play the teachers and the school in the life of the children, these professionals are in a privileged position to detect them and to carry out the pertinent protocols of action. The present dissertation tries to check and analyze the information about what it is the school role in the detection and notification of children vulnerability situations. There has been carried out a review of the literature from which it has been extracted that is not notified as much as it should due to the existence of several barriers. Also, some progress proposals appear to overcome these barriers and difficulties by which, from the school context, they are not carried out the notifications for that it would be necessary to hope.
