En busca de una frontera entre Galicia y Portugal: Las tierras miñotas en los siglos XI-XII

Abstract

RESUMEN: Con la realización de esta investigación trato de abordar cómo y cuándo se crea la frontera galaico-portuguesa. Y si es una creación ex novo y propia de la coyuntura peninsular; o bien refleja un pasado romano, suevo-visigodo y altomedieval hasta la propia formación de un nuevo Reino independiente: Portugal, en el siglo XII. Para ello, utilizaré fundamentalmente la documentación diocesana de la región (Orense, Tuy y Braga), la documentación de la cancillería regia portuguesa y leonesa, y las principales crónicas realizadas durante el siglo XII. Sin olvidar la historiografía relativa al proceso.

ABSTRACT: With the realization of this research, I try to approach how and when the galician-portuguese border is created. And if it’s an ex novo and own creation of a peninsular conjuncture; or reflects a Roman times, Suebi-Visigoth and early medieval until the formation of a new independent Kingdom: Portugal, in the XII century. In my study I’ll use the diocesan’s documentation of the region (Orense, Tuy and Braga), the documentation of the Portuguese and Leonese’s Chancellery and the main chronicles of the XII century. Without forgetting the historiography related to the process.
