Soldevilla Industrias Yuteras NR: Empresa Textil durante el Régimen Franquista. Análisis de las relaciones laborales. (1946-1971)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este trabajo trata de conocer el funcionamiento, especialmente en lo que se refiere a las condiciones laborales de sus trabajadores, de la empresa de fabricación de sacos de yute “Ángel Soldevilla”, situada en Las Caldas de Besaya. Creada a finales de los años 40 del siglo pasado, desarrolló su actividad en plena etapa autárquica del régimen franquista, lo cual benefició su rentabilidad al tener casi asegurado el mercado, aunque tuvo que sufrir los problemas derivados del aislamiento de España en aquellos momentos y de las estrecheces económicas que afectaron a toda la sociedad española de la época. Sin embargo, la apertura del régimen y la paulatina liberalización de la economía, junto con la aparición de países competidores y de otras materias con las que confeccionar los embalajes, dejaron a la empresa a las puertas de su cierre.

ABSTRACT: This work deals with the operations of “Ángel Soldevilla”, a manufacturing business of jute sacks, located in Las Caldas del Besaya, especially regarding their workers labor conditions. It was founded by the late 40s last century, developing its business activity during the autocratic period of the Francoist regime. This benefited its profitability due to the fact that they had plenty of market at their disposal. However, they suffered the problems caused by the Spanish isolation during that time, as well as the financial difficulties that affected the entire Spanish society back then. Nevertheless, the regime opening and the progressive liberalization of the economy, along with the appearance of competing countries together with new materials to make the packing, caused the business to be near their closing.
