Prácticas en el Museo de Prehistoria y Arqueología de Cantabria (MUPAC)

Abstract

RESUMEN Las Prácticas de Fin de Máster cuya Memoria se presenta se desarrollaron entre los días 24 de febrero y 15 de junio de 2015 en el Centro de Investigación del Museo de Prehistoria y Arqueología de Cantabria (MUPAC), así como en la sede de éste en el Mercado del Este (Santander, Cantabria). El objetivo de esta Memoria de Prácticas es dar cuenta del trabajo llevado a cabo en ese periodo, que ha consistido en la colaboración en las tareas de recepción, inventario, catalogación, conservación y puesta en valor de los fondos documentales y arqueológicos del Museo, así como en tareas de difusión (exposiciones, conferencias) y de atención al público en la sede del Museo. Este trabajo me ha permitido conocer de primera mano el funcionamiento administrativo del Museo y su función como Centro de Investigación.

ABSTRACT The work reported in this Master’s Theses took place between February 24th and June 15th, 2015, in the Research Center of the Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria ( MUPAC ) as well as in its exhibition site located in the Mercado del Este (Santander, Cantabria, Spain) The objective of this Master’s Theses is to give account of the practical work carried out at the Museum in that period, which involved the collaboration in the tasks of inventory, cataloging, preservation and enhancement of the documentary and archaeological funds as well as in the task of knowledge diffusion (exhibitions, conferences) and guided tours. This experience has allowed me to get first hand-knowledge of the administrative structure of the museum and of its role as a research center.
