Abstract

RESUMEN: Con el presente documento se pretende hacer un análisis y comparativa de la asignatura de dirección de operaciones o dirección de la producción en las universidades públicas españolas que ofertan el grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas entre su oferta de titulaciones. De forma más precisa, el trabajo aborda el análisis de las competencias transversales y específicas que la componen, para tener una idea del peso que la materia de operaciones tiene dentro del grado, por un lado, y del nivel de diferenciación entre universidades en cuanto al diseño de la misma, por otro. Para la consecución de este objetivo, se analizan los planes docentes de las 51 universidades públicas españolas a través de sus páginas web. La creciente complejidad del mundo empresarial hace necesaria una cualificación específica para dirigir, gestionar y controlar las diferentes áreas funcionales y organizativas que configuran la empresa. Dentro de este contexto, la justificación de ese trabajo viene dada por la necesidad de conocer el tipo de competencias que aporta la asignatura dentro de los diferentes grados existentes en España, y su adecuación a lo que demanda el mercado actual. Sintetizando los resultados diremos que mayoritariamente la asignatura se denomina como “Dirección de Operaciones”, es obligatoria y cuatrimestral y que el trabajo autónomo es esencial. Las tres competencias transversales más representativasson Resolución de problemas (43,48%), Capacidad de organización y planificación (41,30%) y Trabajo en equipo y en equipos interdisciplinares (41,30%). Las tres competencias específicas más representativas son Capacidad de toma de decisiones estratégicas, tácticas y operativas relacionadas con la dirección de producción (28,26%), Planificación y control de la producción (23,91%) y Ser capaz de dirigir las operaciones y organizar la producción (19,57%). En la Universidad de Cantabria,las competencias transversales que contempla la asignatura de Dirección de Operaciones, Resolución de problemas y motivación por la calidad, vemos que representan el 43,48% y el 23,91% respectivamente. De la misma manera, las competencias específicas, Dirigir y gestionar una empresa u organización y/o áreas funcionales de la misma ycapacidad para asesorar en aspectos técnico-organizativos (emitir informes de asesoramiento), representan el 10,87% y el 8,70% respectivamente.

ABSTRACT: This presentation is intended to make an analysis and comparison of the subject of Operations Management, or Production Management, in the Spanish public Universities that offer the Degree in Administration and Business Management among its range of qualifications. More accurately, the work focuses on the analysis of transversal and specific competences that make it up, to get an idea of the weight that the field of Operations has within the Degree, on the one hand, and the level of differentiation between universities in terms of the design of it, on the other hand. For the achievement of this objective, the teaching plans of the 51 Spanish public universities are analyzed through their web pages. The growing complexity of the business world makes necessary a specific qualification to direct, manage and control the different functional and organizational areas thatconfigured the company. Within this context, the justification of this work is given by the need of knowing the type of skills that brings the subject within the different degrees that exist in Spain, and its relevance to what the current market demands. Synthesizing the results,we can say that the subject is commonly knownas "Operations Management", which is compulsory, four-monthly and that self-work is really essential. The three more representative transversal competences are “Resolution of Problems” (43.48%), “Capacity of Organization and Planning” (41.30%) and “Work in Team and in Interdisciplinary Equipment” (41.30%). The three more representative specific competences are “Aptitude to MakeStrategic,Tactical and Operational Decisions, related with the ProductionManagement” (28.26%), “Planning and Control of the Production” (23.91%) and “the Ability of Direct the Operations and Organize the Production” (19.57%). At the University of Cantabria, transversal competences that contemplates the subject of Operations Management, “Troubleshooting” and “Motivation for the quality”, we can see that represent the 43.48% and 23.91% respectively. In the same terms, Specific competences, “Directing and Managing a Company or Organization or functional areas of it” and the “Ability to advise on organizational and technical aspects (emit advisory reports)”, represent the 10.87% and 8.70%respectively.
