Redescubrir el paisaje de la infancia a través de la participación de los niños

Abstract

RESUMEN: Con esta revisión teórica planteamos una imagen de la infancia capaz, con preocupaciones y motivaciones propias, poseedora de derechos, siendo el ser escuchado uno de ellos. A partir de la escucha infantil, surge la posibilidad de su participación, eje fundamental en torno al cual vertebraremos el presente trabajo. En esta línea, percibimos la Educación infantil como un interesante contexto en el que los más pequeños pueden manifestar su opinión, y siendo esta tenida en cuenta pueden tomar decisiones, y en resumen, participar de forma efectiva, al igual que los adultos. De este modo, aludimos a una participación infantil con proyección social, contribuyendo, en última instancia, a generar procesos de cambio que conduzcan a mejoras educativas y sociales, en aras de favorecer una ciudadanía más igualitaria. Finalmente, para tal fin, presentamos una serie de técnicas de investigación con las que podemos acercarnos a la infancia, para conocer sus motivaciones, necesidades, pensamientos y deseos.

ABSTRACT: With this theoretical revision we propose an image of capable childhood, with its own preoccupations and motivations and possesors of rights, being "to be heard" one of the main ones. From listening to our children, a possibility of participation emerges for them, which is the fundamental axis around which we will vertebrae the present work. In this line, we perceive early childhood education as an interesting context in which young children can express their opinion and, taking this into consideration, they can make decisions and participate effectively in the communicative process alongside the adults. Thereby, we allude to a child participation with social projection, ultimately contributing to generate processes of change that aim to achieve educational and social improvements in order to favor a more egalitarian citizenship. In order to achieve that goal, we present a series of research techniques designed to approach children, know their motivations, needs, thoughts and desires.
