La Ciudad en la Hispania romana y tardorromana. El Caso de Pompelo

Abstract

RESUMEN El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en el análisis de la ciudad de Pompelo en el contexto de las ciudades romanas y tardorromanas de Hispania. Dado que esta ciudad tuvo una larga existencia durante este período, primero se estudiarán las fuentes y el estado de la investigación sobre las ciudades romanas y tardorromanas de Hispania. Después el estudio se centrará en Pompelo y se analizarán todos los aspectos relacionados con la ciudad, desde su fundación hasta la actualidad. De esta manera se podrá comprender la situación de Pompelo en el contexto de las ciudades romanas y tardorromanas en Hispania.

ABSTRACT The aim of this work is the analysis of the city of Pompelo in the context of the Roman and Late Roman cities of Hispania. Due to this city had a long life during this time, first the sources and the state of research on the Roman and Late Roman cities of Hispania will be studied. Then, the study will focus on Pompelo and all aspects related to the city itself; from it was founded until his current state of conservation. In this way the case of Pompelo can be understood in the context of Roman and Late Roman cities in Hispania.
