Tratamiento del sexismo en los libros de texto en la etapa de educación infantil

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado tiene el objetivo de realizar un análisis crítico mediante una investigación cualitativa, a partir del material pedagógico correspondiente a las editoriales Everest y Edelvives del segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil, y determinar si existen en ellos prejuicios o estereotipos que ayudan a perpetuar el sexismo. Para realizar esta observación, se tiene en cuenta una plantilla de análisis que contempla varios ítems susceptibles de contener rasgos sexistas. Tras la información obtenida a partir del estudio de dicha plantilla, se recogen las conclusiones finales. La investigación muestra que, en mayor o menor medida, actualmente los libros que maneja nuestro alumnado de Educación Infantil contienen sesgos sexistas, a través de imágenes estereotipadas y de un uso del lenguaje que, lejos de avanzar en la igualdad de género, promueven unos hábitos que ayudan a perpetuar los roles tradicionales de género y las diferencias entre sexos desde las edades más tempranas.

ABSTRACT This Final Degree Project aims to develop a modest qualitative research to critically analyze the early childhood curricular materials of Everest and Edelvives publishers, and determinate if there are prejudices or stereotypes that help to perpetuate the sexism. For this study I will use a template of analysis that includes several items focused on possible sexist elements. The information obtained through the template was examined and discussed to reach some conclusions. The research shows that in greater or minor measure currently the books that our students of early childhood education are manipulating contain sexist traits, through stereotypical images and a use of the language that still contributes to maintain traditional gender roles and sexual differences from the earliest ages
