T: Some later Roman sources placed the “nilotic cubit” inside some Christian churches and pagan sanctuaries of Alexandria during the fourth century. The sacred device was the ritual archetype of the unit of measure used by the Egyptians for measuring height of Nile flood every year. The aim of this paper is to check the reliability of those sources closely related to the Alexandrian cubit.es_ES
