Memoria de prácticas: Archivo Municipal de Santander

Abstract

RESUMEN Tanto el mundo de los archivos como el valor del archivero, son ámbitos francamente desconocidos para la sociedad. Por otra parte, respecto a los ciudadanos que tienen la oportunidad de acudir al archivo para solicitar documentos que necesitan, mi corta experiencia me ha servido para descubrir que no tienen ni idea del trabajo que existe detrás del aparente simple hecho de que ellos puedan acceder en segundos a esos documentos siempre y cuando los necesiten. Mi labor en este trabajo será la de concienciar un poco más al lector del valor que tienen dichas instituciones, así como de aportar un extra de conocimiento acerca del origen del Archivo Municipal de Santander, lo cual siempre es enriquecedor y, más aún, tratándose de la capital de nuestra provincia.

ABSTRACT World of Archives and the value of an archivist, are both discussed and unknown to society. Talking about citizens who have the opportunity to go to request the documents they need, my short experience has served to me for discover that most of them don’t have any idea of the work that exists behind the accesing, in few seconds, to these documents as long as needed. This work will be directed to raise awareness a little more to the reader of the value of these institutions , as well as providing additional knowledge about the origin of the Municipal Archive of Santander , which is always enriching and, moreover , in the case of the capital of our province.
