abstract = {RESUMEN: En este trabajo hacemos un repaso general sobre los métodos numéricos para resolver ecuaciones de una variable y sistemas de ecuaciones no lineales. Centramos la atención en el método de Newton y mostramos los resultados de la Teoría Alfa y Gamma de Smale sobre su convergencia. Todo ello, usando teoremas con sus demostraciones, ejemplos concretos y problemas de aplicación para que faciliten su comprensión y su posible utilidad en la práctica. Finalizamos comentando la importancia del Teorema que da título al trabajo, así como las reflexiones personales llevadas a cabo a lo largo de su desarrollo.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: In this dissertation, we review the numerical methods to solve one variable equations and nonlinear systems of equations. We focus our attention on Newton´s method and we show the results of Smale’s Alfa and Gamma Theory. In order to do so, we use theorems with its demonstrations, examples and application problems to facilitate its understanding and its applications. Finally, we comment about the importance of the Smale’s Gamma Theorem and the conclusions of this study.},
