abstract = {RESUMEN: La fundación de la Cruz Roja en 1864 por Henry Dunant, como un organismo de carácter neutral con personal cualificado para la asistencia de heridos y enfermos en las batallas, marcó un hito histórico en la atención sanitaria de los conflictos bélicos. Posteriormente, esta institución se fue implantando en los distintos países del mundo a medida que también fue creando escuelas de formación enfermera. En España, la Cruz Roja también jugó un papel relevante en uno de las principales conflagraciones bélicas del siglo XX, la Guerra Civil Española. A lo largo de este trabajo se ha analizado la instauración de la Cruz Roja en España, la creación de la Escuela de Enfermeras, una de las primeras de nuestro país, y su modelo formativo, haciendo especial hincapié en la labor de las enfermeras de esta entidad en la Guerra Civil.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: The establishment of the Red Cross in 1864 by Henry Durant, as an organism of neutral character, with personnel qualified to assist the injured and sick in battle, marked a historical before and after in sanitary assitance at war. Subsequently this institution was implemented in different countries across the world at the same time as it created nursing formation schools. In Spain, the Red Cross also played a relevant role in one of the main wars of the 20th Century, the Spanish Civil War. Through this assignment the implementation of the Red Cross, the creation of the nursing school, one of the first in our country and its formative model have been analysed, touching on the nurses´ work in this organisation during the Civil War.},
