It is based on a hybrid singlemode-multimode fiber optic transducer, where the vibration is detected by means of a fiber cantilever beam and extrinsic coupling of light, while two fiber Bragg gratings measure the temperature and strain. Experimental results show good performance for the monitoring of large electric machines.}, publisher = {SPIE Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers}, publisher = {Proceedings of SPIE, 2001, vol. 4328, 142-150}, publisher = {Smart Structures and Materials 2001: Sensory Phenomena and Measurement Instrumentation for Smart Structures and Materials, Newport Beach, CA}, title = {Temperature, displacement, and acceleration fiber optic sensor for large machinery monitoring}, author = {López Higuera, José Miguel and Cobo García, Adolfo and Echevarría Cuenca, Juan and Conde Portilla, Olga María and Madruga Saavedra, Francisco Javier}, }
