abstract = {RESUMEN: Algunas investigaciones confirman que los planes de estudio de un
amplísimo abanico de países incluyen los números decimales en la etapa de
enseñanza primaria. Esa presencia pone de manifiesto la importancia del tema
y en este trabajo se hace un recorrido por algunos de los aspectos más
relevantes del mismo. Inicia esta exposición el análisis del currículo de
Cantabria en relación al tratamiento de los números decimales en la etapa de
Educación Primaria. Se realiza asimismo un breve repaso de la evolución
histórica del concepto de número y sus representaciones hasta la consolidación
de la notación decimal, que permite entender mejor la trascendencia del tema
tratado. Las diferentes formas de abordar los números decimales en el aula
escolar, así como la enumeración de los errores más comunes ligados a ese
tema constituyen otra parte de este trabajo, que concluye con el análisis de
algunos libros de texto y la propuesta de un par de actividades
complementarias a las que habitualmente en ellos aparecen.},
abstract = {ABSTRAC:Some researches confirm that curriculum of the wide range of countries
include decimal numbers in the stage of elementary education. This presence
reveals the importance of the topic and in this work a tour is done by some of
the most relevant aspects of the same one. This work is initiated by the analysis
of the curriculum of Cantabria in relation to the treatment of the decimal
numbers in the stage of Primary Education. Likewise, a brief revision of the
historical evolution of the concept of number and its representations is carried
out up to the consolidation of the decimal notation, which allows understand
better the transcendence of the treated topic. The different ways of approaching
the decimal numbers in the school classroom, as well as the enumeration of the
most common mistakes related to this topic constitute another part of this
paper, which concludes with the analysis of some text books and the proffer of
some complementary activities to those which habitually in them appear.},
