abstract = {La esclavitud fue un fenómeno muy extendido en la España Moderna que afectó no solo a hombres, sino también a miles de mujeres de orígenes diversos, principalmente africanas, moriscas y berberiscas. A lo largo de los siglos XV al XVIII, esas mujeres fueron empleadas sobre todo en el ámbito doméstico y su condición de mujeres y esclavas les expuso a formas específicas de violencia, control y sometimiento, especialmente de tipo sexual y reproductivo. Este trabajo fin de grado se plantea con el objetivo general de reconstruir algunos de los elementos esenciales que permitan comprender la compleja realidad de las mujeres esclavizadas en España durante el Antiguo Régimen- Con tal propósito se analizan el marco legal y religioso que legitimó su condición en la sociedad española moderna, los perfiles de sus propietarios, sus roles socio-económicos y sus condiciones y formas de vida, así como sus espacios de sociabilidad y algunas formas de resistencia, con el fin de valorar la agencia que manejaron esas mujeres para afrontar la opresión a la que se veían sometidas y en algunos casos para poder dotarse de ciertos espacios o cuotas de libertad.},
abstract = {Slavery was a widespread phenomenon in early modern Spain, affecting not only men but also thousands of women of diverse origins, mainly African, Moorish, and Berber. From the 15th to the 18th centuries, these women were employed primarily in the domestic sphere, and their status as women and slaves exposed them to specific forms of violence, control, and subjugation, especially of a sexual and reproductive nature. This final degree project aims to reconstruct some of the essential elements that allow us to understand the complex reality of enslaved women in Spain during the Ancien Régime. To this end, the legal and religious framework that legitimized their condition in early modern Spanish society, the profiles of their owners, their socioeconomic roles, living conditions, and ways of life, as well as their spaces for sociability and some forms of resistance, are analyzed. This study aims to assess the agency these women wielded to confront the oppression to which they were subjected and, in some cases, to achieve certain spaces or quotas of freedom.},
