abstract = {La pérdida de audición es un problema de salud que sufren millones de personas en el mundo y 
en un futuro no muy lejano su incidencia aumentará. La hipoacusia tiene consecuencias 
negativas en la población pediátrica, ya que afecta a su desarrollo personal, educativo y social. 
Para minimizar estos efectos adversos la hipoacusia debe ser detectada precozmente, mediante 
los cribados neonatales de hipoacusia que se realizan en los hospitales. Sin embargo, superar el 
cribado no descarta la posibilidad y el riesgo de desarrollar una hipoacusia durante la infancia, 
por lo que se recomienda un seguimiento auditivo desde Atención Primaria, aprovechando las 
revisiones periódicas del programa del Niño Sano. La detección temprana es importante para así 
poder llevar a cabo el tratamiento adecuado y asegurar un desarrollo normal del niño. En este 
Trabajo de Fin de Grado se habla del implante coclear como tratamiento de la hipoacusia 
neurosensorial severa o profunda y se ofrecen recomendaciones para cuidar y prevenir la 
hipoacusia en niños y adolescentes.},
abstract = {Nowadays hearing loss is a health issue that affects millions of people all over the world, and its 
incidence is expected to increase in the not-too-distant future. Hearing impairment has negative 
consequences, especially for the pediatric population, as it impacts their personal, educational 
and social development. In order to minimize these adverse effects, hearing impairment must 
be detected early through neonatal heaing screenings conducted in hospitals. However, passing 
the screening does not rule out the possibility of developing hearing loss during childhood, so 
auditory follow-up is recommended at Primary Care, taking advantage of routine check-ups 
within the Healthy Child Program. Early detection is crucial to carry out the appropiate treatment 
and ensure normal development of the child. This final degree project discusses the cochlear 
implant as a treatment for severe or profound sensorineural hearing loss and provides 
recommendations for the care and prevention of hearing impairment in children and 
adolescents.},
