With a fractional bandwidth more than 66%, this circuit is based on two combined turnstile junction OMTs with 3 physical ports. When both OMTs combined through their circular common ports they result a Magic Tee with 4 ports in the band 8-16 GHz. The designed Magic-Tee exhibits a return loss better than 25 dB at any port and an isolation of 60 dB over the full bandwidth. This design can be used in applications of satellite communication, astronomy and radars thanks to its enhanced design, cost and performances regarding standard waveguide bands.}, organization = {The authors would like to express their great appreciation to Professor Angel Mediavilla from DICOM laboratory from University of Cantabria for his support in the realization and measurements for this design and Professor Khalid Soussi from INPT Institute for his support in the paper's english review.}, publisher = {Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.}, publisher = {2nd International Microwave and Antenna Symposium (IMAS), Marrakech, 2024, 77-82}, title = {X/Ku octave-bandwidth magic tee for satellite communication}, author = {Kamili, Abdellah El and Terhzaz, Jaouad and Tribak, Abdelwahed and Fernández Ibáñez, Tomás}, }
