It is a direct conversion receiver based on low noise amplification, band pass filtering and Schottky diode detection. System simulations are based on individual linear-subsystems S-parameters measurements together with non-linear detector model. Measurements show more than 30 dB of RF gain over the 26 to 36 GHz band with a noise figure below 3.9 dB. Detected voltage is in the range 1-10 mV which meets the application specifications.}, organization = {This work has been supported by the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia (Spain) under Astronomy and Astrophysics program AYA2007-68058-C03-03 and the FPI grant BES-2005-6730.}, publisher = {Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.}, publisher = {38th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), Amsterdam, 2008, 1113-1116}, title = {Broadband back-end module for radio-astronomy applications in the ka-band}, author = {Cano de Diego, Juan Luis and Aja Abelán, Beatriz and Villa Benito, Enrique and Fuente Rodríguez, Luisa María de la and Artal Latorre, Eduardo}, }
