abstract = {Dentro del marco de los estudios de género, los de la reginalidad, se centran en el análisis del papel de las reinas y de su poder en el pasado, de manera independiente y más allá de la figura de sus maridos o hijos. En este sentido, a diferencia de otras monarcas, Constanza de Sicilia, reina de Aragón y de Sicilia en la segunda mitad del siglo XIII, parece haber permanecido en la sombra.
El estudio de su documentación, la cual debe ser rastreada entre los registros de cancillería de su marido por carecer esta monarca de cancillería propia, permite analizar su importancia e influencia dentro de la monarquía, así como su papel activo en el gobierno de la misma, tanto en la esfera pública como en la privada},
