abstract = {La pandemia por COVID ha sido el evento más importante del siglo XXI. Para superarlo se implementaron restricciones como los confinamientos y el parón de la actividad no esencial. Esto supuso un descenso nunca visto de la demanda, producción y del PIB. A consecuencia de ello muchas empresas se vieron afectadas en términos de ingresos y de costes, teniendo que cerrar una gran parte de ellas y de reinventarse otras. Por ello, en este trabajo se analizará cuáles han sido los problemas a los que han tenido que hacer frente en el sector terciario español y se examinará aquellas empresas que han encontrado una oportunidad en el problema. Se definirá lo que es un coste y los tipos de costes existentes, se evaluará la situación previa a la pandemia en España en términos de PIB y se comparará con el período previo a la crisis financiera de 2008. Además, se revisará desde 2019 hasta 2022-2023 la evolución del sector turístico en España junto con el análisis de los ERTE. Para terminar, se hablará de algunas empresas que salieron beneficiadas a causa de la crisis, así como de Airbnb, que tuvo que adaptarse para sob evas formas de trabajo que han sido instauradas en algunos sectores},
abstract = {The COVID pandemic has been the most significant event of the 21st century. To overcome it, restrictions such as lockdowns and the halt of non-essential activities were implemented. This led to an unprecedented decline in demand, production, and GDP. As a result, many companies were affected in terms of revenue and costs, with a significant number of them having to close, while others had to reinvent themselves. Therefore, this study will analyze the challenges faced by the Spanish tertiary sector and examine the companies that found opportunities amidst the crisis.The definition of costs and the different types of costs will be provided. The situation in Spain before the pandemic in terms of GDP will be evaluated and compared to the period prior to the 2008 financial crisis. Additionally, the evolution of the tourism sector in Spain from 2019 to 2022-2023 will be reviewed, along with an analysis of the Temporary Layoff Plans (ERTEs). Lastly, the study will discuss some companies that benefitted from the crisis, such as Airbnb, which had to adapt to survive, and the new forms of work that have been implemented in certain sectors.},
