The design has been initially started optimizing a unique patch antenna. Then, after validating the matching and gain of this single patch, the linear array has been formed by three identical ones, obtaining a good matching and gain, with weak back radiation. A waveguide-to-microstrip transition will be necessary in the design to measure the array, therefore the simulation and measurements of a transition back-to-back has been also presented.
