abstract = {En este trabajo se realiza un estudio del llamado “techo de cristal”, haciendo una revisión de su literatura a lo largo de los años. ¿Tienen las mujeres más dificultades que los hombres para acceder a puestos de responsabilidad? ¿Estas dificultades son recurrentes en todos los países? ¿Se ha podido reducir estas diferencias en el tiempo? Para responder estas preguntas acerca de ese techo de cristal, en este estudio se ha elaborado un índice, llamado Índice de Empoderamiento, con el que se obtienen valores que muestran en qué medida las mujeres están por debajo de los hombres en el ámbito laboral, en España, Alemania e Italia, procurando dar una explicación a esta diferencia y tratando de encontrar respuestas a su evolución, causas y consecuencias.},
abstract = {In this paper an analysis of the term “glass ceiling” is elaborated, by doing a literature review through the years. Do women have more difficulties than men to access to positions of responsibility? Are these difficulties recurring in other countries? Could we lower these differences in the last couple of years? To answer all this questions about the glass ceiling, we have elaborated an index, called Index of Empowerment. The values of this index tell us how much women are under-represented in the labor force in Spain, Germany, and Italy. This work tries to give a logical explanation to this difference, trying to find the reasons behind its evolution, causes and consequences.},
