abstract = {La cirugía bariátrica mediante diferentes técnicas quirúrgicas (Gastrectomía vertical,
Bypass gástrico, SADI´s, cruce duodenal…) modifica el tubo digestivo cuyo objetivo final es la 
pérdida de peso, así como el tratamiento enfermedades relacionadas con el síndrome 
metabólico derivadas de la obesidad. Entre estas comorbilidades relacionadas con la 
obesidad destacan la diabetes, hipertensión arterial, dislipemia, reflujo gastroesofágico, 
apnea del sueño, entre otras afectaciones sistémicas. Estas son utilizadas como variables para 
medir los resultados posteriores a una cirugía bariátrica y así determinar el éxito de esta. La 
metodología de este estudio consiste en analizar de manera descriptiva una serie de casos 
seleccionados que presentan patología mental psiquiátrica tanto severa como menor en el 
momento de la intervención quirúrgica, por tanto, el objetivo se basa en observar la evolución 
postoperatoria de la cirugía bariátrica en pacientes con patología psiquiátrica. Los resultados 
obtenidos son comparados con la literatura previa con la finalidad de obtener una conclusión.},
abstract = {Bariatric surgery through different surgical techniques such as sleeve gastrectomy, gastric 
bypass, SADI´s, duodenal switch… change the anatomy of the digestive system. The main aim 
is the loss of weight as well as the treatment of the diseases related to the metabolic syndrome 
which is derived from the obesity. Among these comorbidities related to obesity we can 
mention diabetes, arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux, sleep apnea
among other systemic conditions. These conditions are used as criteria to measure the 
outcomes of the bariatric surgery and therefore, the success. The methodology employed in 
this study involves a review of several clinical cases about patients with a variety of mental 
illnesses by the time of surgery. The goal of this study is focus on monitoring the evolution of 
psychiatric patients after surgery.},
