abstract = {La profesión enfermera, ha estado ligada al género femenino, debido a las influencias sociales y culturales construidas históricamente, por el sistema patriarcal, que ha dificultado e invisibilizado su reconocimiento y el desarrollo de sus competencias. El pilar de la disciplina de la Enfermería es la ciencia del cuidado, sin olvidar, que el acto de cuidar ha carecido de valor trasmitiendo una imagen social de nuestra profesión, asociada históricamente a la subordinación de la figura médica, marcada por los estereotipos de género.
Estos y otros factores imposibilitan acceder a puestos de gestión, dificultando la visibilidad de nuestra contribución enfermera en el entorno sanitario. Es fundamental creer en nuestra capacidad científica y formativa que nos posiciona como profesionales imprescindibles, para mejorar la salud y el bienestar de la población},
